Do you love makeup, but can’t afford to buy every single new MAC product that comes out? I feel you. Luckily, I’ve come to realize that there are many department store duplicates that you can just buy at Target or CVS. Here are a few of my favorites.
Benefit Highbeam replaced with Boots No 7 Illuminating Lotion(sold at Target!)
MAC Snob replaced with Revlon Pink Pout
MY PERSONAL FAVORITE:
NARS Orgasm (highly regarded as the best all-skin blush) replaced with Milani Luminous
Source: Makeup Lovers Unite
But let’s talk as well about generally awesome products you should be using. There are so many products in the market at the moment that it can sometimes get really overwhelming. I have literally spent hours trying to figure out which shade of foundation to wear so I’ve been there. Let me save you some time and recommend some pretty great face products that I find work best.
Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner, Onyx
This eyeliner is awesome. It stays on literally all day and doesn’t smudge. I have extremely watery eyes (thanks allergies!) and this bad boy never rubs off. At $5.94, it’s not a bad investment!
Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller Gel
If you wake up with puffy eyes, this will soon become your best friend. It depuffs your bags and moisturizes your skin. It does not leave your skin feeling sticky so you can apply your makeup immediately after.
Maybelline New York Cover Stick Concealer
I am picky about concealer. VERY picky. I can’t stand to have my face look cake-y. This stick concealer is great for covering up bags (if you don’t use the roller above) as well as pimples! It’s been the reader’s choice pick for Allure Magazine since 2007!
L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Serum Absolute Foundation
I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION. I can’t emphasize this enough. It gives the perfect coverage and still feels light. I also love that it has SPF, ProRetinol A+, and Vitamin C. Seriously, give this one a shot. You won’t regret it!
I will do a full makeup “best of” list soon so be on the lookout!
